A bolsa será entregue durante o Encontro de Oceanografia 2026 que se realiza no Sana Hotel, em Sesimbra, a 21 e 22 de maio.

Esta bolsa representa a primeira bolsa APOCEAN com uma vertente social explícita e reflete o compromisso da associação com a inclusão e o apoio social no contexto académico e científico.

Esta iniciativa destina-se a estudantes de licenciatura, mestrado ou doutoramento. Caso não haja candidatos nas condições referidas a concurso, a bolsa será atribuída a outros estudantes, ficando a decisão a cargo da direção da APOCEAN, pelo que se convida à candidatura de todos os interessados.

A APOCEAN disponibiliza ainda outros apoios a que poderão concorrer: o prémio APOCEAN, que distingue trabalhos científicos relevantes na temática das ciências do mar, e o apoio a jovens cientistas para a participação no Encontro.

The grant will be awarded during the Oceanography Meeting 2026, which will take place at the Sana Hotel in Sesimbra on May 21-22.

This grant represents APOCEAN's first scholarship with an explicit social dimension and reflects the association's commitment to inclusion and social support within the academic and scientific community.

The grant is intended for undergraduate, master's, or doctoral students. If there are no applicants with the referred conditions, the grant will be awarded to other students, with th decision being made by the APOCEAN board.

APOCEAN also offers other forms of support that applicants may apply for: the APOCEAN award, which distingues scientific works in the field of marine sciences, and support for young scientists to participate in the Meeting.
